About Me
My name is Genise Brim, Author and Health Coach. I became a Certified Health Coach because I wanted to help others overcome health challenges just as I have overcome my health challenges.
I saw family and friends suffer from unsolved life issues while some lost battles to severe health problems, which would include my father. I had health problems that I had to overcome mentally and physically. I had to become my own life and health coach before I could coach others.
I learned a lot through my research as well as received training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which I obtained a certification in Health Coaching.
Through obtaining this knowledge, I was able to overcome my battle with hormone imbalance, ward off breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and get a handle on my stress. I also wrote a book (Smoothie, Shakes, and Drinks), which helped me with my recovery. I’ve helped others overcome their life challenges and helped them obtain their goals.
I want to continue to help others strive to live healthier, happier lives, by feeding their Spirit, Soul, and Body. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.
My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, the leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
